Happy Thanksgiving 2017

We hope you all have had a nice day with family and friends.  George and I had a "different" kind of Thanksgiving.  We got up at 5:30 so we could catch the marina shuttle to the grocery store before they closed for Thanksgiving.  The drain in the shower stopped working this morning, so after we got back from the store George had to replace the switch and bilge pump in the shower sump.  While he did that, I defrosted the freezer and washed the fresh fruits and vegetables we got.  It felt good to get those things done.

After we finished our chores, we explored downtown Sarasota.  It's a beautiful city with lots of live oaks, ferns and summer annuals.  We had a late lunch at Marina Jack Restaurant.  It wasn't the traditional Thanksgiving but it was good.

That's the news and here's the views:

Poinsettias in the group of summer flowers

Live oaks

Bell Tower we could hear at the marina

Resurrection Fern

Tomorrow we're heading to Venice Beach.
